They also use their communication skills to train employees on safety procedures and to answer questions about safety regulations. Technical knowledge: Safety trainers need to have a thorough understanding of the equipment they’re training others on. This includes knowing how to operate the machinery and understanding its potential risks. Safety trainers also need to know how to respond to any potential emergencies that may arise while someone is using the machinery.
