Nowadays, a lot of slurry is produced in various mining operations, and this slurry must be drained away. The slurry contains a lot of hard particles, which requires the material of the slurry pump to be wear-resistant. The accessories that are mainly in contact with these slurries, such as impellers, sheaths, and guards, are called flow parts. If the materials and processes of the flow parts are improperly selected, they will be easily worn, and some may even wear out in ten days. Will be scrapped. Therefore, it is necessary to choose high-chromium alloy materials with better wear resistance.
In comparison, high-chromium alloy flow parts have a longer service life than cast iron flow parts. The chromium content of Cr28 material is too high, and the cost of castings is relatively high, so it is not suitable from an economic point of view. Therefore, we try to modify the flow-passing parts of high-chromium alloy. The metallographic structure of high-chromium alloy is martensite plus carbonization. Adding retained austenite to the material, austenite has higher toughness than martensite, reducing the martensite content and increasing the austenite content is beneficial to improving the toughness of high-chromium alloys. The more austenite the better, but there is a certain optimal content. When the optimal content is exceeded, the wear resistance of the flow-passing parts will decrease. The properties and shape of carbides have a great influence on the wear resistance of flow-passing parts.
